Hello, I’m Kien! My dance journey started back in 2021. I was a big fan of Kpop and a lot of Korean choreographers, so I started out learning Kpop first and joined a few dance cover groups in Calgary! As my dance journey continued I started branching out to different dance styles and I’m currently focusing on street styles. My main goal is always to connect with others. I truly believe anyone can learn dance, and it’s taught me how to be more comfortable in who I am, so I want to teach that to others! I grew up as a shy kid, but the moment I started dancing it completely changed my life and gave me the confidence in myself the I never knew I needed.

In 2023, I founded my own KPOP + Open Style choreography dance group. We compete in competitions such as the Canada wide ‘KCDF’ competition and the Calgary based ‘KPOPPERS’ competition, which we won on our first year. We also create cover videos of Kpop choreography.

In 2024, I got my first ever non-Kpop job, being a dancer for an artist named ‘Tiffany Day’ for her music video for a song called, ‘KANSAS.’

In 2025, I traveled for 6 months and competed as a Kpop/Ppop trainee for the MLD ENT (Momoland, Hori7on, New:ID) and TV5 Survival Show ‘Be The Next: 9 Dreamers.’ I was trained to sing and dance on stage by multiple Korean and Philippine choreographers, and judged by top celebrities such as Chen from EXO, Bang Yedam, Park Woojin from AB6IX, Hyebin from Momoland, Vinci from Hori7on, and Bull$eye and Bae Wan Hee. The show was also hosted by Sandara Park from 2NE1, who performed in Coachella in 2022.
