Artist Avenue Studio Policies, Waivers & Terms
Important Notice
By registering with Artist Avenue, all participants and/or parents/guardians acknowledge and agree to the policies outlined below.
All students are required to complete official waivers and agreements through Studio Pro during the registration process. These agreements remain the primary binding documents.
This page is provided for transparency and reference to ensure all families have clear access to studio policies at all times.
These policies are actively enforced. Please review carefully. By registering, you agree to all policies listed here and within Studio Pro.

1. Year-End Show & Costume Policy
***All annual program classes participate in Artist Avenue’s Year-End Showcase unless written withdrawal notice is received.***
1.1 Withdrawal Deadline
Written notice must be submitted via email no later than January 31, 2027
If no notice is received by this date, participation is assumed confirmed

1.2 Costume Fees
Costume fee: $70 per class
Fees are mandatory for participating students
Fees are non-refundable once costumes have been ordered or purchased
Important Notes
Costume fees and Year-End Show participation apply only to annual programs unless otherwise stated
Sessional classes are excluded unless explicitly noted
Withdrawal from sessional classes must follow posted notice requirements to avoid charges
2. General Liability Waiver
2.1 Acknowledgment of Risk
Participants understand that dance, physical training, rehearsals, performances, and related activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, emotional stress, or property damage.
2.2 Assumption of Risk
Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including injuries such as sprains, strains, fractures, concussions, and other physical injuries.
2.3 Release of Liability
Participants and/or parents/guardians release and discharge Artist Avenue, its owners, instructors, staff, contractors, and representatives (“Released Parties”) from any and all claims arising from participation, including those resulting from ordinary negligence.
2.4 Indemnification
Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from participation.
2.5 Medical Authorization
In the event of injury or emergency, Artist Avenue may seek medical assistance. All related costs are the responsibility of the participant or parent/guardian.
3. Media Release
Participants grant Artist Avenue permission to capture and use photos and videos taken during classes, rehearsals, and events for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes.
No compensation will be provided
All media becomes property of Artist Avenue
This consent is irrevocable unless written withdrawal is provided and confirmed by the studio
4. Tuition & Monthly Payment Policy
Tuition is structured as equal monthly payments based on an annual program schedule.
4.1 Key Terms
Tuition is based on a minimum of 30 classes per season
Payments are not adjusted for attendance or missed classes
Scheduled closures and holidays are already included in tuition pricing

Important Note
Classes may still run during certain school breaks (including November Break unless otherwise stated).
5. Parent & Family Code of Conduct
Artist Avenue is committed to maintaining a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment.
All parents, guardians, students, and guests agree to:
Treat all staff, instructors, students, and families with respect
Communicate concerns respectfully and constructively
Refrain from harassment, discrimination, threats, or disruptive behaviour
Respect studio spaces, classes, and events
Follow all studio policies and expectations
5.1 Enforcement
Artist Avenue reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or remove any individual or family from classes, events, or communication platforms if behaviour is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or harmful to the studio environment.
No refunds will be issued in such cases.
6. Payment, Late Fees & Withdrawal Policy
This section outlines all financial obligations and is strictly enforced. Please review carefully before registering.
6.1 Payment Terms
Tuition is due on the 20th of the month prior to services
Late balances are considered overdue immediately after due date
Late Fees
A $35 late fee will be automatically applied every 21 days on any outstanding balance until paid in full
Accounts that remain unpaid 21 days after the due date may result in immediate suspension or removal from all programs until the balance is cleared
Private lessons must be paid in advance and will be paused immediately if the account becomes past due
Any balance not paid by the due date is considered past due
Artist Avenue reserves the right to deny participation in classes, lessons, rehearsals, performances, or events for any account with an outstanding balance.
Late fees are applied to cover administrative time, processing costs, and to ensure the studio can meet financial obligations including instructor wages, rent, and program expenses. Timely payments are essential to maintaining program quality and operations.
6.2 Outstanding Balances, Interest & Payment Security
Suspension for Non-Payment
Accounts with overdue balances may be subject to immediate suspension or removal from all programs until the balance is paid in full.
Artist Avenue reserves the right to deny participation in classes, rehearsals, performances, and events for any account with an outstanding balance.
High Balance Interest Policy
Accounts with an outstanding balance exceeding $2,000 CAD may be subject to interest charges.
Interest may be applied at a rate of 19.99% annually, calculated and applied every 21 days on the outstanding balance
Interest charges will continue until the balance is paid in full
This policy reflects standard consumer credit practices and is intended to encourage timely payment and reduce long-term outstanding balances.
Payment Method Requirement
Artist Avenue reserves the right to require a valid credit card on file for any account with:
Repeated late payments
A history of overdue balances
Outstanding balances exceeding studio-approved limits
Failure to provide a valid payment method when requested may result in:
Suspension from current programs
Ineligibility for future registrations
Authorization
By registering, the account holder authorizes Artist Avenue to:
Store a payment method securely on file
Process outstanding balances, late fees, and applicable charges in accordance with studio policies
All payment information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and secure payment processing standards.
6.3 Responsibility for Payment
By registering, the account holder agrees:
They are fully responsible for all charges on the account, regardless of attendance
Non-attendance does not pause, reduce, or cancel tuition or fees
Failure to receive reminders, invoices, or communications does not waive or delay payment obligations or late fees
All fees, including late fees and unpaid tuition, remain legally payable until settled in full
6.4 Withdrawal Policy (30 Days Written Notice Required)
Minimum 30 days written notice is required for withdrawal
Notice must be submitted via email at artistavenueinc@gmail.com
The 30-day notice period begins only once written notice is received and confirmed by the studio
Verbal notice, non-attendance, or informing an instructor does not constitute withdrawal
Without Proper Notice:
The full tuition for the upcoming billing cycle will be charged, regardless of attendance
During the 30-day notice period:
Students may continue attending classes
Or choose not to attend, but all fees remain payable in full
6.5 Policy Enforcement (No Exceptions)
To ensure fairness and consistency for all families:
No refunds, credits, exceptions, or waivers will be provided for:
Lack of awareness of policies
Scheduling conflicts
Change of interest
Missed classes or non-attendance
Failure to read communications or agreements
All policies are applied consistently to all accounts without exception.
6.6 Policy Acknowledgment
By registering, the account holder confirms:
Confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to all payment, late fee, and withdrawal policies
Accepts full financial responsibility for all charges applied to their account
Understands that these policies are binding and enforceable upon registration
7. Privacy Policy
Artist Avenue respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information.
