About Artist Avenue
Many ways into the arts. One place to belong.
Our story
Built to help young people grow.
Sarah Moore founded Artist Avenue to give young people many ways into the arts, and a place to grow without losing their individuality.
Through our classes, kids learn discipline, teamwork, resilience and perseverance. We want them to leave as confident people, as well as skilled artists.
Keeping kids safe
Supported, understood and free to be themselves.
We are committed to strong safety standards, emotional awareness and respectful environments, so every student can build confidence and a true sense of belonging.
Staff and assistants have police and vulnerable sector checks, renewed when they expire. Our code of conduct is part of every staff contract. Young assistants train at the studio, never lead a class, and always work with a certified adult teacher. Questions or safety concerns can go directly to the owner.
If you are worried about a child's safety, call the Alberta Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-387-5437, available 24/7. Young people can reach Kids Help Phone anytime at 1-800-668-6868. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911.
