At Artist Avenue, we are committed to providing the skills and connections necessary for young dancers to transition into professional careers.
Our semester-based programs allow dancers to choose a specific stream or mix and match to suit their future aspirations. Our comprehensive curriculum ensures that each student receives high-quality training tailored to their individual goals.
Our Founder
Sarah Moore is the founder of Artist Avenue and a professional dance educator, choreographer, adjudicator and arts leader with over 25 years of experience in the dance and entertainment industries. Her extensive training spans Contemporary, Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Pointe and Musical Theatre. She has completed RAD Ballet examinations and is Rambert Contemporary certified.
Sarah has competed nationally and internationally, including at CanDance Nationals and the Hip Hop World Dance Competition in Germany. Throughout her career, she has continued her professional development with internationally recognized dancers and choreographers, including Mia Michaels and members of Justin Timberlake’s dance team.
Today, Sarah travels professionally as a dance adjudicator, working across the competitive dance industry alongside established choreographers, educators and industry professionals. Her work as a choreographer and educator encompasses competitive dance, contemporary movement, street dance, performance and artist development.
Her professional experience also extends deeply into the music, festival and live entertainment industries. Sarah has worked on major music festivals and large scale events, including Sturgis North, served as an Events Director working with Molson Canada and Export A, and worked as Entertainment Director for Dauphin’s Countryfest. These roles have given her extensive experience in live entertainment, artist relations, event production, programming and large scale event management.
Sarah is a strong advocate for mental health, individuality and artist wellness within the industry. Her approach to education extends beyond technique, focusing on developing knowledgeable, confident and well rounded artists while creating spaces where young people can grow without losing their individuality.
As the founder of Artist Avenue, Sarah brings together decades of experience across dance, choreography, adjudication, live entertainment, major events, leadership and artist development. She has built Artist Avenue around a multidisciplinary approach to arts education, creating opportunities for emerging artists to train, perform, explore multiple creative disciplines and build meaningful pathways within the arts.
