Film Studies
While earning her Film Studies degree at the University of Manitoba, Sarah immersed herself in storytelling and visual art, expanding her creative voice beyond dance. Her time there gave her new ways to see movement and performance—through the lens of film, narrative, and visual composition—which she now blends into her choreography, teaching, and event production.
After becoming WPIC-certified through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada, Sarah applied her training to both private and large-scale events. This certification equipped her with skills in logistics, budgeting, vendor coordination, scheduling, and thematic planning, which she carried into her work beyond weddings—producing concerts, community festivals, and youth showcases.
Sarah has a foundation in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, and hip hop, with a strong focus on contemporary and street styles. Over the years, she has refined her craft through mentorship and workshops with renowned choreographers including Mia Michaels, Marty Kudelka, Tyce Diorio, Shane Sparks, and Travis Wall, experiences that broadened her versatility and deepened her artistry as both a performer and educator.
