Sarah Moore, founder of Artist Avenue, combines her extensive dance background with a strong commitment to mental health and inclusivity. She began dancing at age 3 and was competing provincially by age 9, training in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Pointe, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop. She has competed nationally and internationally, including with Team Canada, winning awards and attending workshops with industry leaders.

She later joined hip hop crews, including Un1te, further developing her performance career.

Sarah has performed at music festivals and worked behind the scenes in Artist Liaison and Event Operations, as well as Stage Manager and Event Director. In these roles, she coordinated artist transportation, scheduling and backstage logistics, ensuring bands and performers were fully supported on site.

With over a decade of teaching experience, Sarah prioritizes mental health and wellness within her studio. She has completed ASIST suicide prevention training and advocates for fair workplace practices.

She currently serves as Vice-President on the Okotoks Arts Council, working with the town to support and grow the local arts community. Artist Avenue is rooted in inclusion, integrity, courage, resilience and commitment, mentoring youth through dance while building confidence, discipline, teamwork and perseverance.

Film Studies

During her time studying Film Studies at the University of Manitoba, Sarah deepened her passion for storytelling and visual art, expanding her creative voice beyond dance. She gained new perspectives on movement and performance through the lens of film, narrative, and visual composition, which she now weaves into her choreography, teaching, and event production.

After becoming WPIC-certified through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada, Sarah applied her training to both private and large-scale events. This certification equipped her with skills in logistics, budgeting, vendor coordination, scheduling, and thematic planning, which she carried into her work beyond weddings—producing concerts, community festivals, and youth showcases.

Sarah has a foundation in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, and hip hop, with a strong focus on contemporary and street styles. Over the years, she has refined her craft through mentorship and workshops with renowned choreographers including Mia Michaels, Marty Kudelka, Tyce Diorio, Shane Sparks, and Travis Wall, experiences that broadened her versatility and deepened her artistry as both a performer and educator.
